“Robin’s work is highlighted by attention to detail, thoroughness and follow through until the desired results are achieved.”

Dr. Henry Kamali Medical Director for Surgery Good Samaritan Hospital San Jose, CA

I have known Robin Menefee since 2009 when I met her as the manager of the operating room of a critical access hospital. As a surgeon, I was impressed with her ability to analyze problems and arrive at solutions. I have followed her career since then and have noted her tremendous managerial skills in many different situations. In short Robin just “gets it.”

My relationship with Robin Menefee, RN was in the Perioperative setting and her responsibilities included the day-to-day operations of the Pre-op area, operating room, and PACU.  As with any manager, she was responsible for providing me and to the Chief Nursing Officer various reports, concerns, and resolutions to the conflict that would inevitable arise.  Ms. Menefee’s assessments of the various conflicts, as well as, the resolutions were always thorough, precise and timely.

I believe that her experience in that role provided her with insight to create an environment that is conducive to resolution of conflict and holding individuals accountable for their own behavior.

I have known Robin Menefee while working with her at LBJ Medical Center in American Samoa.  Robin came to the facility as an interim instructor for AORN.  In this capacity she led and instructed several of our in house nurses in the AORN 101 course.

After completing the AORN course Robin was brought back to the facility and functioned as a consultant for Perioperative services.  She was with us for a total of 12 months.  As chief of the Department of Anesthesia I worked closely with her in the operating room.  I found her to be a very hard working, knowledgeable and reliable.  She was well liked by her colleagues and the employees within the department.

I hired Robin when I was the Service Director at a Kaiser Permanente in the East Bay area.  Robin was a new nurse when I hired her to be the manager for the Perioperative Department.  As a new manager with no experience, Robin was able to quickly grasp situations and run with them.  I was impressed by her ability to communicate with her staff in a professional manner. When dealing with conflict resolution she would deliver her expectations in a calm, quiet tone that allowed her employees to feel comfortable and ready to comply with her stated expectations for them.
